Not Every DIY Is Doable,
but This Flower Garland Totally Is
Whether real or faux, flowers can add beauty and texture to any space. This gorgeous flower garland would be perfect decor for a wedding, baby shower, to decorate a little girl's room or nursery, or as an everyday homage to spring and summer.
We used soft corals and peaches, but of course, it can be customized to any color scheme you wish.
Step 1
Remove flowers from the stems.
Step 2
Take the rope and make a small loop at one end. Wrap with wire to secure.
Step 3
Repeat step two on the other end of the rope.
Step 4
Place the first piece of greenery on top of the rope and use floral wire to attach the rope to the stem. We used a vine type of greenery for extra interest.
Step 5
Cut off any excess stem using wire cutters.
Step 6
Repeat step four at the other end of the rope.
TIP: Make sure each end mimics the other end for uniformity.
Step 7
Continue to add more greenery, alternating ends until the greenery meets in the middle.
TIP: You can use some of the foliage from the floral bouquet to fill in any empty spaces.
Step 8
Use hot glue to attach flowers to the rope.
TIP: To create visual interest, make sure the flowers are glued in groupings of different colors and sizes.
TIP: Use loops at each end to hang or simply drape over a curtain rod, hanging dowel, mantle, or any kind of picture hooks or nails. Get creative with how you display your garland!
You could also use paper flowers as a beautiful alternative.
